[XYZ Company] Device Store – Privacy Policy (LinkVIA-powered)
Effective Date: [Effective Date]
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy covers the device store at [devices.xyzcompany.com] (the “Store”). The Store is branded as [XYZ Company] and is operated for [XYZ Company] by LinkVIA, Inc. (“LinkVIA”), which hosts the Store, processes payments, and ships orders.
[XYZ Company] controls the personal information collected through the Store. LinkVIA acts as [XYZ Company]’s service provider and uses that information only to run the Store and fulfill your orders. Payment processors and financing providers also collect information directly from you under their own privacy policies (see Section 4).
This policy covers the Store only. [XYZ Company]’s wireless service and main website are covered by [XYZ Company]’s own privacy policy at [link].
2. Information we collect
| Category | Examples | Why we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Contact and order details | Name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number, items ordered, order history | Process, ship and support your order; send order, tracking and return emails |

| Technical and fraud-screening data | IP address, browser and device type, order timing, address-verification results | Detect and prevent fraud, secure the Store, fix errors |
| Cookies and usage data | Pages viewed, cart activity, cookie IDs, [analytics and advertising pixel data] | Keep your cart working, remember your consent choices, [measure and improve the Store] |
| Support communications | Messages and tickets you send us | Answer questions and resolve issues |
We do not collect Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, dates of birth, medical or biometric information through the Store.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to process and deliver orders, handle returns and warranty support, verify payments and prevent fraud, send transactional emails, operate and secure the Store, meet legal and tax obligations, and, where [XYZ Company] offers it, provide promotions or subsidized pricing tied to your [XYZ Company] service.
We do not sell your personal information. LinkVIA does not use it for its own marketing. We send only transactional emails unless you separately opt in to marketing from [XYZ Company], and you can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed to run the Store:
- LinkVIA and its subprocessors, including the hosting provider, email delivery service, fraud-screening and address-validation tools, and consent-management tools (such as Usercentrics).
- Payment processors such as Stripe, Braintree, Square, PayPal and Apple Pay, which process your payment and fraud checks under their own privacy policies.
- Financing providers such as Klarna, Affirm, PayPal, Katapult or Progressive Leasing, if you choose them. They collect your application directly and apply their own privacy policies.
- Shipping carriers such as USPS, UPS and FedEx, to deliver your order.
- [XYZ Company], which receives order and device details to activate and support your wireless service.
- Legal and safety recipients, when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to prevent fraud, and to a successor in a merger or sale of the business.
5. Cookies and tracking
The Store uses cookies needed for the cart and checkout to work. With your consent where required, it may also use analytics and advertising cookies or pixels. A consent banner lets you accept, reject or change non-essential cookies at any time through the [Cookie Settings] link in the footer. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out of any cookie-based sharing for targeted advertising.
Some of these cookies may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out through Cookie Settings or by enabling GPC.
6. How long we keep it
LinkVIA keeps order and shipping details, including IP address, for 120 days after your order ships, so it can track delivery issues, returns and payment disputes. After 120 days, LinkVIA’s systems automatically remove your personal information from order and invoice records. LinkVIA keeps only de-identified transaction and shipment records (such as order number, items, amounts paid, taxes, ship date, carrier, tracking number, and destination state and ZIP code) for as long as tax and accounting laws require. [XYZ Company] keeps information it receives as described in its own privacy policy.
7. How we protect it
The Store runs on secure managed hosting with encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Card payments are handled by PCI DSS-compliant processors, and LinkVIA does not store card numbers. Access to order data is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it, and get a copy;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information, subject to legal exceptions;
- opt out of sale, sharing for targeted advertising, or profiling (we do not sell; see Section 5 for cookies);
- appeal if we deny your request.
To make a request, email [support email] or call [support phone]. We will verify your identity using your order details before responding, and you may use an authorized agent. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. Children
The Store is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. You must be 18 or older to buy.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy by posting a new version with a new Effective Date. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
